Community

At Waterco we pride ourselves on a great team ethic. The sense of ‘community’ within the business and amongst our clients, industry peers and our local area is reflected in the activities Waterco is involved with locally and nationally.

Raising Money For Good Causes

For the past few summers, members of our team with friends and family, have taken part in the annual Dwr Cymru Welsh Water Bikeathon event. Catering for all abilities, participants can choose from one of three routes: Family (10 miles), Intermediate (55 miles) or Advanced (100 miles). Raising money for WaterAid and local charities, the Bikeathon routes traverse the stunning landscapes of North Wales and incorporate visits to our water infrastructure assets along the way. As well as supporting very important causes, these events are also a great team building opportunity for us. WaterAid also organises an annual national WaterAid Mountain Challenge – inviting supporters to hike up a mountain and get friends and family to sponsor them in doing it. In 2015 and 2016 Team Waterco has also taken part in the Annual DragonBoat race held at Victoria Dock, Liverpool. Again, raising money for local charities, this has already become a firm office favourite.

Corporate Sponsorship of Local Sport

Since 2012, Waterco has been proud to sponsor Ruthin Rugby Club, which is based in the town where the company is headquartered.

Since the 1960s, Ruthin Rugby Club has been one of the premier clubs in North Wales with two senior teams, a ladies team, and a thriving mini and junior section with ages ranging from under 7 to under 19.

Introducing Local Youngsters To The World of Work

Denbighshire County Council invites local businesses to participate in an initiative – Denbighshire Pathways+ – which gives local school children an insight into jobs and the workplace including what might be expected of them in a job interview.

Waterco staff took part in a day of talks and interviews.

Opportunities

At Waterco, we support our employees and provide a work environment that celebrates their successes. As our client base grows, we continue to ensure our team are well-equipped to meet the challenges this industry offers, through training programmes, personal development, and by adopting the latest technologies.

We are always looking out for the right people to join our team. If you are ready for an exciting new challenge, please send your CV and covering letter to opportunities@waterco.co.uk.
