Civil Engineering

Our team of experienced Civil Engineers delivers practical, effective solutions for even the most complex sites.

We have partnered with numerous high-profile clients, consistently providing innovative, commercially focused and customer-driven outcomes. Design or Assessment of roads, bridges, car parks, walkways and loading bays.
Stage 3- Shed-4

Drainage Design

Drainage design ensures the effective management of surface and foul water to serve infrastructure and protect the environment, integrating natural processes into urban environments.

Our civil engineers provide engineering design services from planning and concept phases, through to detailed design and construction ensuring that all planning conditions are discharged, and the necessary consents and section agreements are in place. Our Drainage Design services include:
Storm-water drainage design using SuDS & attaining SAB approval

We specialise in SuDS and the preparation of Sustainable Drainage Approvals Body (SAB) applications to effectively manage surface water runoff and enhance environmental sustainability.

Foul drainage design to Sewers for Adoption 7 (Wales) or DCG (England)

Modelled in MicroDrainage to simulate flow control, attenuation, and infiltration, ensuring effective hydraulic performance and optimised designs.

Sectional Agreement submissions incl. S104 (Adoption), S185 (Diversion) & S106 (Connections)

We prepare and manage statutory submissions to secure adoption, diversion and connection of drainage infrastructure.

Investigations and support addressing historic sites not having completed the final adoption process.

We review drainage schemes, identify unresolved technical issues and provide solutions that bring systems up to standard so they can be formally adopted by the relevant authority.

Highway Design

Highway design ensures safe, efficient, and sustainable transport routes. Our expert engineers use modern modelling and design software to develop geometric layouts that account for pavement widths, alignments, slopes, intersections and other critical features influencing safety, capacity and overall performance of the highway network.

Our civil engineers can provide designs ranging from roads, car parks, forecourts, storage yards and loading bays.

Traffic Management Expertise

We integrate effective traffic management strategies to improve flow, reduce congestion, and enhance safety for all road users.

Vehicle Tracking

Our software can simulate movements (swept path analysis) to show the paths and space required for specific vehicles on a site.

Innovative and Sustainable Design

Our solutions ensure compliance with regulations while promoting long-term resilience and environmental responsibility.

Collaborative Approach

Working closely with local authorities and stakeholders, we streamline approval processes and address project concerns throughout the lifecycle.

Renewable Energy

Renewable Energy

Our expert engineers provide specialist support for renewable energy projects including solar, wind, hydroelectric and battery storage systems. We guide clients from feasibility and design through to delivery, with expertise in structural works, dockside infrastructure, civil components and drainage solutions.

From foundations and powerhouses to flood risk assessments, we ensure safe, efficient and compliant clean energy developments.
Solar Farms

We support our clients from early concept and design stages through to delivery, covering all aspects of structural design, infrastructure and construction.

Wind Farms

Our engineers have supported offshore wind through dockside infrastructure provision, including gantry's, cranes and pontoons and submission of Marine Licence applications.

Hydro-electric

We have extensive experience with design of civil engineering components: intakes, power houses, generator foundations, penstock alignments and thrust blocks.

Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

We can provide assessment of flood risk and design support in relation to ground levels, access roads and drainage.

Ground Modelling & Earthworks

Ground modelling and earthworks forms the foundation of successful civil engineering projects. Using advanced surveying and 3D modelling, we analyse the terrain to optimise cut and fill, drainage and stability.

Our designs ensure the efficient use of materials, environmental compliance, and accurate site preparation for roads, structures and infrastructure developments.

We can provide site feasibility support with a Phase 1 (desk study) Ground Contamination Report or assist with scoping and Phase 2 Geotechnical Investigations and supporting the client on its findings.

Frequently Asked Questions

We deliver civil engineering solutions for a wide range of projects, including commercial and business units, factories, energy infrastructure, health and care facilities and new build/ residential developments.

Our engineers provide complete project support from initial feasibility assessment through to planning and subsequent design. We are also often engaged for construction stage and site support, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and on time.

When developing a SuDS strategy, we assess the site’s layout, ground conditions, land use, existing drainage networks, and rainfall characteristics.

The design also addresses water quality, ecological impact, and flood prevention to deliver a balanced and sustainable drainage solution.

The process generally entails a SAB pre-application to agree principles ahead of more detailed design for the full SAB submission.

Each authority have varying degree of responsiveness to SAB pre-apps but the Full App is to be determined at end of a 7 week assessment period.

Often the period is extended to allow for minor iterations to design as a result of questions raised or clarity being sought by the SAB.

A Section 38 agreement can be used when a developer proposes to construct a new estate road for residential, industrial or general purpose traffic that may be offered to the Highway Authority for adoption as a public highway along with associated infrastructure such as drains, lighting and supporting structures.

A section 278 agreement is needed generally for work affecting the highway and allows developers to enter into a legal agreement with the local authority to make permanent alterations or improvements to a public highway.

The more simplistic Section 184 agreement allows for the provision of a vehicle crossing across a footway or verge land, i.e to facilitate a simple driveway access.
