Waterco Present at AUE Conference 2019
27th Sep 2019
Waterco were proud to present at the AUE 2019 Conference at Lancaster University earlier this month. Project Manager Michael Spray and Keith Stoops, a Technical Specialist- of Water Infrastructure, hosted a workshop session discussing various aspects of water management.
“It was good to meet many people all in a similar position, who want to improve their university estates, I hope that our presentation was of real value to them and they can make improvements if necessary.”
~ Michael Spray
Questions from the audience focused around the responsibility for water within the network of pipes owned by universities. It was discussed that once the water leaves the water companies network, it is the responsibility of the University to ensure that the water remains of a wholesome nature.
Waterco began their relationship with Keele University after carrying out a Water Management Plan on campus. Michael Spray, Project Manager at Waterco shared his thoughts on the results following completion of the project:
“Our Water Management Plan for Keele has resulted in significant water savings and will allow future development without large capital expenditure costs which were a possibility.”
Earlier in the year, Sir David Attenborough opened a new science facility at Keele University.
Waterco look forward to presenting further workshops and working closer with AUE and their members.
