International Women in Engineering Top 50

Well done, and congratulations to Louisa King, Waterco Project Engineer who has been selected as one of the International Women in Engineering Top 50.

This year’s theme was ‘Returners or Transferrers’ having either returned after a break of at least 18 months or transferred to engineering from another sector.​

The winners were noted within a supplement with the Sunday Telegraph on 24 June 2018.

Waterco support Dwr Cymru Welsh Water’s 8th Annual Bikeathon

On Sunday 24th June, Waterco supported Dwr Cymru Welsh Water’s 8th Annual Water Industry Bikeathon.

Starting and finishing at Glascoed WTW, riders took part in the 14 mile family trail along the North Wales Coastal path, the ‘short’ 26 mile circular route thorugh Llansannan and Llanfair TH, with Tim Mitchel completing a gruelling 107 mile ride via Bala, Trawsfynydd and Snowdonia National Park. A great day ended with a well-deserved BBQ.

Wet & Windy ‘Waterco Walk’

On Saturday 5th August several members of the Waterco team, friends and family took part in the annual ‘Waterco Walk’. A great opportunity to socialise, keep active and explore the beautiful Vale of Clwyd.

In August, Clwyd West Assembly Member Darren Millar, the Conservative Shadow Cabinet member in the Welsh Assembly visited our Ruthin office and met with Managing Director, Peter Jones to congratulate us on our recent successes.

Waterco continue local rugby sponsorship

On Saturday 2nd September Ruthin RFC began their 2017-2018 season with a great home win. Before kick-off Chris Lewis presented this season’s shirt to 1st XV Captain Jordan Jones. Waterco are proud to be entering the 6th season as club shirt sponsor.

DCWW Annual Bikeathon

On Sunday 2nd July ‘Team Waterco’ took part in Dwr Cymru Welsh Water’s Bikeathon in support of Epilepsy Action and WaterAid.

Riders took part in the 10, 36 and 95 mile routes across North Wales, finishing with a well-deserved BBQ at Glascoed.

Thanks to all the organisers, helpers and participants. Looking forward to the event next year already!
